This Privacy Policy explains how Audio Latency Test ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you visit audiolatencytest.wiki or use the audio latency, headphone latency, Bluetooth latency, microphone latency, and A/V sync tools.
1. Browser-based testing
The core audio latency tools run in your browser. Tap timing and A/V sync tests do not require uploading files or recordings. Mic Round-Trip mode asks for microphone permission so the browser can detect short pulses locally while the test is running.
We do not intentionally upload microphone audio for the normal test workflow. The microphone stream is used for local pulse detection and is stopped when the test ends or the page is closed.
2. Information we may collect
- Usage data such as pages visited, browser type, device category, referrer, approximate region, and timestamps.
- Technical logs such as IP address, error events, security events, and performance signals.
- Support messages you send to our email address, including contact details you choose to provide.
We use this information to operate the site, understand which tools are useful, fix layout or browser issues, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
3. Cookies and analytics
We may use analytics or similar technologies to understand page performance and user interaction. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics should not prevent the basic test tools from working.
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with hosting, analytics, security, email, or legal service providers when needed to operate the website, respond to requests, or comply with law.
5. Your choices
You can deny microphone permission and still use Tap Test or A/V Sync mode. You can also revoke microphone permission in your browser settings. To request access, correction, or deletion of support records, email [email protected].
